The media want to hear from teachers

The words and opinion of four VIVA teachers in the news:

In New York, VIVA teacher Mark Anderson shared his opinion about the state’s planned teacher evaluation system. This op/ed, which appeared today in the Albany Times Union, pointed out that teachers would likely be more supportive of the plan if state leaders had considered the recommendations included in the VIVA NY report, Opening Doors to Professional Communication and Collaboration

In Chicago, three VIVA teachers, Kori Milroy, Brian Graves and Dave Quanz were invited onto WBEZ, Chicago’s public radio station, where they spend nearly 15 minutes talking about the 49 recommendations they developed about better ways to use time in school that were included in the VIVA Chicago report, Time, Teachers, and Tomorrow’s Schools

Coming soon: A new VIVA report from Minnesota teachers on how to improve principal evaluations.
